Strategic People Partners is looking for a highly organized project coordinator who thrives on follow-through. Someone who notices what needs attention, keeps priorities moving, and takes ownership of the details that help projects reach completion.

About Strategic People Partners

Strategic People Partners is a Fractional Chief People Officer practice serving churches, ministries, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations. We work at the executive level to help organizations clarify leadership, reduce friction, and build people systems that support both performance and culture.

This role reports directly to the founder and owner. You will sit at the operational center of a growing consulting practice, keeping deliverables moving, people informed, and nothing falling through the cracks.

If you thrive in complexity, finish what others let slide, and get genuine satisfaction from seeing things through to completion, this role was built for you.

What You Will Do

Project and Client Operations

  • Maintain visibility across all active client projects and open deliverables
  • Track deadlines and action items while proactively surfacing priorities
  • Coordinate workshops, assessments, and logistics across client engagements
  • Prepare and distribute meeting action lists and monitor progress
  • Partner with the owner to assign work to the appropriate team member and help drive completion

Recruiting Operations

  • Manage recruiting pipelines for client searches
  • Coordinate candidate communications and interview scheduling
  • Follow up on candidate feedback, references, and hiring documentation to keep searches moving
  • Track candidate progress and maintain organized recruiting workflows
  • Support consistency across all active searches

Business Operations

  • Maintain internal systems, trackers, and documentation
  • Support business development follow-up activities
  • Organize and maintain business records and resources
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability

Preferred: Marketing and Growth Support

Experience in the following areas is a plus, but not required for the right candidate:

  • Website updates
  • LinkedIn page management and content posting
  • Email marketing and newsletter distribution
  • Contact list and marketing database maintenance
  • Client announcements, partnership updates, and promotional activities
  • Vendor management support

What Success Looks Like

  • Client projects consistently move forward and deadlines are met
  • Recruiting processes remain organized and candidates receive timely communication
  • Business opportunities receive prompt follow-up
  • Internal systems stay current and reliable
  • The owner remains focused on strategic and client-facing work because operational details are handled effectively
  • Nothing important gets dropped

Who You Are

You are the kind of person who makes lists and actually completes them.

You notice what has not been done. You follow up without being asked. You find real satisfaction in seeing a project reach the finish line, not just in starting it.

You likely describe yourself as an implementer, operator, project finisher, or someone who brings order to complexity and momentum to stalled projects.

You are comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously and do not require constant direction to stay productive.

In practice, this looks like:

  • Following up on candidate feedback and keeping searches moving
  • Tracking references until they are completed
  • Maintaining project trackers and keeping them current
  • Monitoring deadlines across multiple clients and workstreams
  • Tracking open deliverables and flagging priorities
  • Problem-solving alongside the owner and helping drive solutions to completion

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and exceptionally reliable
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Comfortable maintaining visibility across multiple priorities and determining what matters most
  • Drawn to mission-driven work
  • Strong knowledge of what HR work entails
  • Near Uptown Charlotte strongly preferred for in-person collaboration 1–2 days per month
